Bukunmi Christiana Ogbara is a seasoned banking and financial services executive with over 18 years of progressive experience spanning corporate banking, commercial banking, retail banking, investment banking, business development, relationship management, customer service executive, credit, lending, and executive leadership.
She is currently the Founder and Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Peach Financial Services Limited, where she provides strategic leadership in building and scaling a customerfocused financial services business. Since commencement of operations, Peach Financial Services has raised working capital exceeding ₦7 billion and a risk asset portfolio of over ₦8 billion, while maintaining a zero Non-Performing Loan (NPL) position, reflecting a strong emphasis on prudent credit underwriting, risk management, and disciplined portfolio monitoring.
Prior to founding Peach Financial Services, Bukunmi served as Managing Director/CEO of Template Limited, a subsidiary of VFD Group Plc, where she led the growth of a start-up lending business focused on individuals, SMEs, and corporate customers. Under her leadership, the business raised over ₦8 billion in working capital, originated viable risk assets, achieved breakeven and recorded a marginal profit in its first operational year. She subsequently served as a Non-Executive Director of Template Capital UK and Chairperson of its Board Credit Committee.
Her professional career includes progressive leadership roles at VFD Group Plc, where she served as Group Business Development Manager; Nova Merchant Bank, as Acting Divisional Head, Corporate Banking; Wema Bank Plc, as Branch Business Development Manager; First City Monument Bank (FCMB), where she served as Unit Head, Relief Manufacturing and General Services; and United Bank for Africa (UBA). Across these institutions, she developed extensive expertise in corporate and commercial banking, investment banking, relationship management, business development, customer service, structured lending, and credit management.
At Wema Bank Plc, Ojota Branch, she played a pivotal role in the turnaround and growth of the branch. She demonstrated her strong commercial and business leadership capabilities by exceeding the branch’s annual profitability target within just three months and contributing to the branch’s elevation to a Grade A rating.
Her transaction and portfolio management experience spans a broad range of financial solutions, including documentary import finance, revolving overdraft facilities, advance lines, invoice discounting, LPO financing, asset finance, bonds and guarantee facilities, term loans, bid support facilities, and other structured financing solutions.
Bukunmi holds an MBA in Marketing Management and a B.Sc. (Ed.) in Business Education. She is a Fellow of the National Institute of Credit Administration (FNICA), Fellow of the Institute of Business Diplomacy and Financial Management (FBDFM), Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Loan & Risk Management of Nigeria (FCILRM), and a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM).

At UBA, she received a commendation from the Group Managing Director for excellent and exceptional customer service delivery, which led to her appointment as Service Ambassador for the UBA Acme Business Office, where she supervised service-related complaints, escalated critical issues, and facilitated prompt resolution of customer service challenges.
